Roger Ross
Pastor, Leader, Author, Coach
A native of Cambridge, Illinois, Roger Ross felt Christ’s call to ministry while in college. He has loved serving as a pastor in Texas, the British Channel Island of Guernsey, and Illinois. In Illinois, he had the thrill of leading teams that planted two new churches and served for ten years as the lead pastor of one of the largest United Methodist Churches in the Midwest.
Roger later moved across the river to become the Director of Congregational Excellence in the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church. In this role, he led a team that sparked over 3,000 new places for new people and fostered the transformation of many existing churches.
He currently serves as the founder of The Humility Group. It’s his joy to come alongside pastors, faith-based leaders and their teams as a leadership coach. He specializes in helping individuals and teams discern new ways to break through challenges that have no known solution.
Other passions include SCUBA diving in warm blue water, board games with family, and traveling in different cultures. He also has a weakness for golf.
Ini addition to Kinda Christian, Roger is the author of:
- Meet The Goodpeople: Wesley’s 7 Ways to Share Faith
- Come Back: Returning to the Life You Were Made For
- Come Back Participant Guide
Now for the best part. Roger is married to Leanne Klein Ross, and they live near family and friends in Bloomington, Illinois. God has blessed them with two adult children, a son-in-law, and one adorable granddog.
