Kenda McVeigh
Writer, Mentor, Teacher
Kenda McVeigh believes her primary calling is to serve Christ in the church through teaching, leading, and supporting church ministries. In addition to volunteering, she has been on staff for various churches around the state of Texas. Most recently, she worked in the Creative Services Department of The Woodlands Methodist Church as a copywriter – writing, editing and developing resources for church promotion, education and congregational development. She also served as their Women’s Ministry Director, training leaders, planning programs, mentoring women and organizing Bible studies.
One of her main joys has been the many years she spent leading Disciple Bible Study, a 24-week dive into the Bible, where she took great delight when class members began to clearly understand the relationship between the Old and New Testaments. Kenda started her writing and editing career as a community college Writing Center Director after graduation from Texas Tech University. She and her husband Bryan also enjoy facilitating couples in marriage ministry when their schedules allow. They are the parents of married adult children, Jacqueline and her husband Nasir, and Matthew and his wife Laura.
